Educational Technology Specialist

Job Description

As an Educational Technology Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing immersive technology solutions for educational institutions. You will collaborate with educators, instructional designers, and technologists to integrate augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and other immersive technologies into curriculum and learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong background in educational technology and instructional design.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with educators and instructional designers to identify opportunities for integrating immersive technology into curriculum and learning experiences.
• Design and develop immersive educational content and experiences using AR, VR, and other emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create interactive and engaging educational materials, simulations, and virtual environments.
• Provide training and support to educators on the use of immersive technology tools and resources.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in educational technology and immersive learning.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of immersive technology solutions in enhancing learning outcomes and student engagement.
• Assist in the selection and procurement of hardware and software for immersive technology initiatives.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for immersive technology equipment and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in educational technology, instructional design, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of AR, VR, and other immersive technologies and their applications in education.
• Experience with content creation tools and platforms for immersive learning, such as Unity3D, Unreal Engine, A-Frame, etc.
• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and educational software platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
