Job Description

As a Haptic Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing haptic feedback systems and experiences for various applications, including gaming, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and more. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create immersive haptic experiences that enhance user interactions and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in haptic technology and a passion for pushing the boundaries of tactile feedback in immersive environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop haptic feedback systems and experiences for gaming, VR, AR, and other applications.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate haptic technology into immersive platforms and devices.
  • Implement haptic effects and interactions that enhance user experiences and immersion.
  • Conduct testing and optimization to ensure the effectiveness and realism of haptic feedback.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in haptic technology.
  • Provide input on creative concepts and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Ensure that all haptic systems and experiences are properly documented and optimized for performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Haptic Engineer, Haptic Designer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in haptic technology and systems, including actuators, sensors, and controllers.
  • Experience with haptic development tools and platforms such as Unity3D, Unreal Engine, or similar.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
